Scaling a Server
Increase compute or disk capacity and change your server's billing period.
Open your server from the servers overview, then select Upgrade.
Compute
Choose an available compute size for your region. You can increase CPU and memory without increasing disk capacity. Servers cannot be downgraded.
Storage
Choose a larger disk when you need more space. Disk can grow independently of CPU and memory. Disk capacity cannot be reduced.
Apply the change
Review the compute, disk and billing period in the summary, then apply the change. Hourly, monthly and yearly billing options are available.
The Upgrade page shows whether your server supports in-place rescaling without downtime.
